I haven't been this proud of something in a long time. It took me at least three hours to sketch and ink and at least six to color.
I love doing leopard spots! They're so much fun! I haven't drawn a leopard in a long time. I was afraid to darken her spots with Mahogany Red (For fear of ruining it) but the second I did that she popped right off the page. I'll never do a leopard without darkened spots ever again!
I love Prismacolor markers. They're fun and easy to use, and they actually scan! I'd say this scan is about 95% accurate. My evil demon scanner did drop some of the lightest yellows on her white parts (In person her belly and such are more of a pale cream than a screaming white). Also, the Mahogany Red (Outside frame/spot color) scanned a wee bit more purple than it is in person.
I'm annoyed that her hair (Head hair, not fur) seems so flat in comparison to everything else. Hair is something I still don't feel like I'm very good with. Still, this is some of the best hair I've ever done and I look forward to improving it over time.
Enjoy!
