Eon of Flora

More practice with my Derwent Inktense pencils. Love these things! This piece was made specifically to show up this hideous old Inktense Leafeon from 2007, which was one of my very first attempts with these weird and wonderful pencils. I am not responsible for retina damage caused by viewing the old version.

As for why my Leafeon differs from the official design: I think Leafeon is one of the less interesting Eeveelution designs, and I've always been curious as to why it has such a high defense stat (the same as Golem!). So, my Leafeon has mineral scales that provide protection and a place for moss to grow. I like to think these mineral scales take a long time to grow, so only older Leafeons would have them.
